Manufactures of Products
We depend on so many ‘things’ to function in this modern world. Some are big things some are seemingly little things but they all make a difference.
I have heard many scenarios about how things most depended upon don’t accommodate the large family.
One common observation is the concern over the transportation dilemma.
I struggle with the fact that some with large families certainly can NOT afford passenger vans or two vehicles. Just the ins. alone can be crippling not to mention the cost of the vehicles! Oh, don’t forget the rising cost of gas!
We have literally committed to the Lord that we will stay QF even if that means that we won’t be able to go anywhere together as a family!
What does that translate to?
In our family at least this is what it looks like.
No one can expect us to visit them unless they can provide transportation or they are within walking distance.
Daddy often does the grocery shopping alone or with a few of the kids while I stay home with baby and toddler.
We homeschool (There is no way for me to run to the school to get a sick child or get involved w/ my children’s classroom activities. Since I want to consistently participate in their lives; they stay home with me.)
We home church ( There is no way for me to get involved in a ladies’ bible study or take the kids to mid week children’s activities or other ministry in the church)
We birth at home ( No way for us to bring the baby home! LOL )
We learn to use natural antibiotics and stay as healthy as we can
( rarely get sick and herbs and GARLIC seem to be enough in most cases)
We have yet to meet anyone in real life that is interested in coming along side us and help our growing family ( they have their own problems like trying to afford enough money for two vehicles so they can run around town with their own families of 2-4 children) Did you ever notice how many stop at 4; if they don’t stop at two or three; Very, very, rare to see a number 5!
How can we expect anyone to care to accommodate children? If the vehicle manufactures ~ that people pay their life blood to for that machine can’t accommodate a family larger than 4-5? Or the booster seat makers can’t design something that is of less bulk ( and still safe and legal) ~ I suspect they could if they wanted to. We are simply up against mainstream living!
If we had to go somewhere ( as in a major emergency )I would break the law! We choose to plan our activities around the limitations otherwise.
An observation from,
Jacinda ~
The mommy that had the heart break of the family passenger van ( that is still owed on ) die in mechanic negligence ( and doesn’t have the money to advocate for the family through legal avenues)
So takes it from the Lord as a BLESSING to have her sovereign God make a way for her family; in His timing.
